Loan Terms and Website Use
We assess applications and issue approved loans directly.
Completing an online application is a request for Rescue Finance to assess you for credit. It is not a credit agreement and it does not mean that your loan has been approved.
How applications are assessed
We look at each application individually. This can include affordability, income, existing financial commitments, supporting documents, identity and fraud checks, credit information and other information reasonably needed to make a responsible lending decision.
A low credit score or previous payment problems do not automatically decide the outcome. The outcome depends on the information checked during the assessment.
1. Loan amounts, terms and interest
Loan amounts start from R10 000. Repayment periods range from 12 to 180 months. The advertised rate starts from 5.29% per annum. The maximum APR is 32%. Your quotation and pre-agreement statement will show the actual amount offered, applicable APR, monthly repayment, repayment period and total amount repayable before you accept the credit agreement.
2. How the application outcome works
We assess the information you provide and may ask for supporting documents before giving you an outcome. If approved, we’ll confirm the loan amount, repayment term and repayment details offered to you before you proceed.
3. Debt review
If you have completed debt review, we may ask for a valid clearance certificate or other supporting information before we continue with a new application.
4. Information you give us
Please give information that is complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Incorrect, incomplete or misleading information can delay the assessment or result in an application being declined.
5. Verification and credit information
Rescue Finance may verify your identity, income, employment, banking information, supporting documents and credit information. This may include information from credit bureaux and verification or fraud-prevention service providers where you have given the required permission.
6. Loan costs and quotations
Do not accept a loan unless you understand what you will repay. Before acceptance, Rescue Finance will provide the applicable interest rate, APR, monthly repayment, repayment period and total amount repayable in the quotation, pre-agreement statement and/or credit agreement.
7. Repayment responsibility
You are responsible for making repayments in line with the credit agreement you accept. Late or missed payments may negatively affect your credit record and may have consequences under your credit agreement.
8. No unofficial payments
Do not pay money to an individual, intermediary or unofficial account in exchange for a promised approval. If you receive a suspicious payment request or loan offer, contact Rescue Finance using the contact details published on this website before making any payment.
9. Service providers
We may use service providers for functions such as identity verification, fraud prevention, credit-bureau checks, hosting, communications and payment administration. Rescue Finance remains the credit provider for loans issued through this website.
10. Website information
We take reasonable care to keep website information up to date. General website information is not a personalised credit offer and should not be treated as financial advice. The terms in your quotation and signed credit agreement will apply to your transaction.
11. Personal information
Personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and POPIA.
12. Basic application information
Depending on the application, you may be asked for a South African ID or other accepted identification, proof of income, recent bank statements, proof of address and other supporting documents needed for assessment and verification.
13. Contact and complaints
If you have a question or complaint, contact Rescue Finance at info@rescuefinance.co.za or call 021 300 4698 / 078 191 3056 during published support hours.
14. Your agreement
The quotation, pre-agreement statement and signed credit agreement will set out the terms that apply to an approved loan. Please read those documents carefully before you accept.
